Built in 1801, the Grafton Inn is a beautifully restored Vermont country inn offering 45 rooms, including seven suites and four guest houses. All rooms are individually appointed and include a private bath and separate sitting area. An overnight stay includes a full country breakfast and afternoon refreshments. Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center offers year-round recreation. Member of Historic Hotels of America, Distinctive Inns of New England and Green Hotels of Vermont.
The Old Tavern Restaurant is located within the Grafton Inn and offers American cuisine, with an emphasis on local foods. Seasonal menus are offered in order to take advantage of the freshest local ingredients. Dinner is served nightly from 6-9 pm. Breakfast is served daily in the sun-filled Garden Room from 8-10 am. Reservations are appreciated, 802-843-2231. Dressy casual to dressy attire.
Phelps Barn Pub serves as the Grafton Inn’s bar. Attached to the main inn, Phelps Barn was once a carriage house for guests' horses. Open for guests every evening at 5 pm. Full bar, specializing in local Vermont brews. The upstairs loft of the barn has a lounge, games, a computer with Internet access and cable TV. A pub menu is served Thursday through Sundays from 5-9 p.m. Thursdays are Burger & Brew nights where you can enjoy an all-beef burger and a 16 oz beer for just $10. On Fridays, it’s Flatbread Fridays, where made-to-order flatbread pizzas are cooked in a brick oven. Live music is featured every Saturday night at 8 p.m. Casual attire.
